Bay Valley Tech Student Application

Welcome to Bay Valley Tech! We are excited that you have decided to join our tech community and apply for one of our FREE technology skills classes.  We currently offer two programs:

Code Academy:

This program prepares you for an internship or entry-level position as a web developer, software developer, or business analyst.  Unlike traditional tech schools or college programs, Bay Valley Tech’s free coding bootcamp program is tuition-free and aims to transition students into new tech jobs in less than a year.

 

At the end of the Code Academy​, participants will emerge as well-rounded full-stack developers fully equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in any job opportunity they may want to pursue.  Whether pursuing careers as Software Developers, Web Developers, Data Scientists, or Medical Coders, students will be poised for success in the competitive and rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Digital Design Bootcamp:

Our Digital Design Bootcamp is a comprehensive, independantly driven, educational journey crafted to empower designers with a versatile skill set spanning graphic design, web design, UI/UX, social and email marketing, and web development. Tailored for aspiring and intermediate-level designers, this program provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and industry insights to propel participants towards success in the dynamic digital design landscape.

 

By the end of the Digital Design Bootcamp, participants will emerge as well-rounded digital designers equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in diverse roles. Whether pursuing careers as graphic designers, UI/UX designers, web designers, or digital marketers, students will be poised for success in the competitive and rapidly evolving digital landscape.

We offer flexible self-paced lessons with weekly live online classes, community-based learning that provides lots of support, peer study groups, and mentorship from professional software developers.

Application Process For Code Academy
& Digital Skills Bootcamp

  • Step 1:  Complete and submit the online application below.

  • Step 2:  You will immediately receive a Bay Valley Tech welcome email with instructions on how to complete your prerequisite online lessons and attend our weekly new applicant informational and study sessions.

  • Step 3:  Attend your initial "Getting Started" info session and complete your prerequisite work.

  • Step 4:  Once you have completed Step 3, you will get in contact with a BVT coach to start your learning journey.

  • Step 5:  Complete the modules in the course you have chosen.

Students should expect to dedicate approximately 12 to 20 hours of study time per week and can repeat sections if needed.  Students must be at least 18 years old to participate in the Bay Valley Tech Code Academy and Digital Design Bootcamp programs.  Prior technology classes and programming experience is helpful but not necessary. We can work with you no matter where you are in the learning process.
