Modesto Free Code Academy

The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that there are 1.4 million computer science-related jobs available this year, but there are only 400,000 computer science graduates with relevant skills to apply for these jobs. Currently, the Central Valley cannot attract higher-paying IT employers due to a lack of an experienced tech workforce. Notably, high paying jobs have passed Central Valley cities like Modesto, with most Bay Area companies preferring to hire relevant talent from elsewhere.

Bay Valley Tech seeks to close this gap by providing innovative free software training programs and other modern IT courses targeting students who have found it challenging to qualify for new tech jobs. This year, we are partnering with school districts in Modesto, California, and surrounding cities, including Patterson, Oakdale, and Salida.
